FlowRunner is built privacy-first. The short version: the app runs AI on your Mac, doesn't require an account, and doesn't collect or transmit your data. This page explains what that means in detail. Placeholder boilerplate is included where your final legal specifics belong — replace bracketed items before publishing.
1. Our approach
FlowRunner processes your content on-device. When you run a workflow, files you point the app at are read locally and passed to a language model running on your Mac. We have no servers in that loop and receive none of your content.
2. Information we don't collect
FlowRunner does not require an account and does not collect personal information. Specifically, we do not collect or store:
- ·The contents of files you read or write
- ·Your prompts, workflows, or model output
- ·Names, emails, or account credentials (there are none)
- ·Behavioral analytics or usage telemetry [confirm before publishing]
3. On-device processing
The model you choose is downloaded once and loaded into memory locally. After download, FlowRunner needs no internet connection to run workflows. The app is sandboxed to Apple's App Store standards and only accesses folders you explicitly grant it. By default, the model is unloaded after a run so it isn't using memory when idle.
4. Optional cloud AI (bring your own key)
If you choose to enable cloud models, you supply your own Anthropic or OpenAI API key. That key is stored securely in the macOS Keychain and never transmitted to us. When cloud AI is enabled, the content of your AI steps is sent directly from your Mac to the provider you selected, governed by [that provider's privacy policy]. Cloud AI is strictly opt-in and off by default.
5. Data stored on your device
Your workflows, preferences, and downloaded models are stored locally on your Mac under your user account. You can delete them at any time. We do not have access to this data.
6. Purchases
The one-time Pro unlock is handled entirely by the App Store. Apple processes the transaction; we never see your payment details. Purchase validation happens through Apple's StoreKit on your device. See [Apple's Privacy Policy] for how Apple handles payment data.
7. Children's privacy
FlowRunner is not directed at children under [13/16] and does not knowingly collect information from them. Because the app collects no personal information, this is largely moot — but stated for completeness.
8. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, note the change in the app's release notes. [Describe notification method.]
